Sewing mood today....

Like Marge from The Simpson, this is the best mood to be in today. I promised myself I would create from the stash. Since I'm feeling a little vintage, today project is Simplicity 1059 Jiffy dress . This will serve as a quick sewing fix. Now that I have had some ice cream, time to get back to my machine. Such a great day!

Trust me, I have been creating...

I have really. Although seems like I have forgotten about my little sewing share space here but I haven't. I have been creating all kinds of knitwear and some creating some doll fashions. I did have a few pictures to share. The one above is the outfit that a lucky winner won on my doll blog giveaway. Here is the back of the top, which was inspired from Vogue 8905 . I love this top with jeans or leggings, so I made some easy pull on pants for the famous fashion doll. Doesn't take much fabric either, thank goodness for fabric scraps! Well, I made another baby blanket and forget to take a pictures but it my all time, go to, super easy blanket it knit up. I shared it here when I knitted one for my son co-worker. I used the same yarn but in this color . The new mother and her family just loved it. They expressed how everyone just love the blanket. I also have finished my dress that I shared here but still haven't worn it, lol. I also knitted a pink and green card...
It seems like I'm not the only one losing coping with a wavering sewing mojo. I have been able to catch up on the sewing blogs I enjoy reading and it seems to be going around. I blame it on time constraints and well the lack of focus. I thought I was on a roll yesterday until I realize I didn't have any knit interfacing. Good thing I have a chance to go to both Joann's and Hancock Fabrics. I will have to get up early and would rather sleep in but that's ok,I'll make it work.  I also have started taking my brown pants apart. I will share the before and after pictures with you. They were from Simplicity 1810, they are elastic pants and they came out way to big! So I will re-cut  them out at my at my RTW size 14. I know my sewing machine will be waiting for my return. It was "sew" glad that we spent time together. At first it was in shock, giving me grief bunching up stitches but I had a talk with her and she will soon have a new friend to join her. ...

The need to SEW!

Yes, I need to sew something! I had a day of all days yesterday. Thank goodness it is Friday. I need to sew this work week out of my system and I plan on doing "sew" too. I started the new year off working overtime and well, it really isn't working for me. I have no time to prep my projects and that irritates me. I need just a little time with my sewing machine and I will be good. I did finish my pants from Simplicity and I'm almost finish with my Harvest wrap. I stopped knitting on that when the overtime kicked in and have been doing a little before I go to bed. I'm so brain dead when I get home even that's a struggle. I can tell you this much, my Saturday's are my Saturday's again. I'm not working them anymore as of today. Unfortunately my work ethics are a little different from others because I believe in quality not quantity, so no moe giving up my Saturday. My sewing machine misses me and I miss it. So look forward to sewing some completed p...

Everything is Everything!

Although I just started this blog I do miss posting. Good new is that I have been sewing. I re- fashioned a sundress that has been sitting in the back of the closet. Chopped it off and turned it into a skirt. I did finish my navy blue skirt, and I did finish the Barbie Cardigan. So I have been doing "stuff". I will post the pictures soon.  Also things are getting into a rhythm around here. I go back to work on Monday which I am happy about. I can't wait to really get my sewing on! I promised myself to sew more in 2015 and gosh darn it, I am. I have been wanting to make my own bras and Crafty has a class so yeah, I want to do that. I am getting ready to start on 2 pair of pants from Simplicity 1810 shown below.   There are going to be sewn in a woven fabric that I have in my stash. They look easy, quick and comfortable. Basic pants to add to my wardrobe. I envision them being worn quite a a bit too. So let me get started.  Sewing and Knitting and l...
