McCall's 6956 - Wrap Dress, View D - Completed.

Oh, how I love this pattern! Here is McCall's 6959 Woven wrap dress completed. I participated in a sew-a-long hosted by Rin, who finds time to do a lot of creating. I have made this dress before in View A here and that when I feel in love with it, as well as the working with bias tape. Trust me this is easy to stitch up.

Material Selection:
I selected a linen-look poly-rayon fabric from Hancock Fabric and yes I need more of this fabric. This sews up wonderfully AND iron beautifully! It 50% rayon and 50% polyester and holds its shape quite well. I didn't make any adjustment to the pattern and stitched it up based on the size 18 measurements.

Cost of Project:
Since the fabric was not in my stash and it was on sale, around $16.00. No complaints here.

Conclusion:
I do have plans to make at least two more. I would love to do this in an Ankara print or even a novelty print. Now that I think about it perhaps in a two color combination. Ahh, getting all kinda of creative ideals over here, lol. I hope everyone that participated in Rin sew along enjoyed their creation, I know I did! Once again Rin, thanks for being a great host!

    1. We must be sisters! I too am stash busting and pulled out B5778 to knit up. When I saw your post at lunch I could not wait to get home. I live kinda dangerous over here, lol, sometime I make a muslin and sometime I don't. I figured the knit will be forgiving, lol. Thanks so much your kind words.

    1. Thanks. My next version will be the sleeveless ones for the hot days so I might have to do a FBA and add a snap closure. Well see.
