I Sew, I Knit.

Yes indeed! I have completed three pair of pants with my favorite pattern, McCall's 6901 . I think I can sew them with my eyes close now. The fits is always perfect for me. I don't think you could go wrong with a Palmer/Pletsch fitting instructions. So with that said, yes you guessed it. Now I am getting ready to start on the navy blue pair. All the Gabardine fabric I purchased were through Amazon from the Online Fabric Store. The quality of this fabric is wonderful as well as affordable as you can see below. I was in Sears, tempted to buy a pair,  same great quality, nice fit, standard length but listed at $40. So yeah, that inspired to go ahead and make them and just look, only costed me $7.84 and with Amazon prime, here next day! With no more Hobby Lobby 5 minutes away and both Joann Fabric stores about 35-38 miles, north or south of me, the Online Fabric Store will be my go to place. I have really. Although seems like I have forgotten about my little sewing share space here but I haven't. I have been creating all kinds of knitwear and some creating some doll fashions. I did have a few pictures to share. The one above is the outfit that a lucky winner won on my doll blog giveaway. Here is the back of the top, which was inspired from Vogue 8905 . I love this top with jeans or leggings, so I made some easy pull on pants for the famous fashion doll. Doesn't take much fabric either, thank goodness for fabric scraps! Well, I made another baby blanket and forget to take a pictures but it my all time, go to, super easy blanket it knit up. I shared it here when I knitted one for my son co-worker. I used the same yarn but in this color . The new mother and her family just loved it. They expressed how everyone just love the blanket. I also have finished my dress that I shared here but still haven't worn it, lol. I also knitted a pink and green card...

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Lots of knitting going on, working through my stash. Yes, I have a yarn stash and I hoard knitting needles (especially when they are given to me). @lionbrand.com This is a cute slouch hat and free, yep, free pattern from Lionsbrand. It the Tivoli Slouch hat and again a great gift ideal. If you don't have a Lionbrand account you can create one or get it pattern from here from Joann.com. It your basis knit and stockinette stitch with some slip stitches and yarn overs, the end result is the cute hat. I do a lot of my knitting while I'm commuting so I like easy, travel-able projects. I do believe this is anther Red Heart yarn, just can't remember which one, lol. Hopefully my resident photographer will be up to par to take some photos soon. Take care! I didn't take a picture of the finished blanket but I will share with you what I have. My all time favorite baby blanket to make and give is Lionsbrand Bright Nursey Baby Throw. It's easy and knits up quickly.  To keep it cost effective I opted for the Bernat Blanket skein and needed to get a regular size skein to finish it. Below you will see the necessary info regarding the yarn. You start off with three stitches, then yarn over on the ends until you get 90 stitches and then you start to decrease. It make the boarder as you go. As you can see you might just need one skein, depending how loose or tight you knit. Here it when it was almost done. It really is one of my favorites. I also knitted a scarf in these beautiful earthtone colors to go with this jacket I am passing on to a friend. I believe this was knitted with Lionsbrand Homespun yarn. I had it in my yarn stash so it needed to be utilized or donated. I know my friend will enjoy it along with her new coat. ...

Sometime outside forces interrupt my sewing time and in this case my mother and son are to blame. I'm still waiting on her to send my stretch piping and because I share a desk with my son I am unable to set up my "sewing studio". So I picked up the knitting needles instead. I saw this yarn on sale at Micheal's and for $2.00 you can't beat that and since I had a coupon, why not right? It is Loops & Threads Woolike yarn and it is super soft! It is a super fine weight yarn that uses a US size 2 needles or E/4 Crochet hook. You will see the complete stats when you click on the link. I knew I wanted to knit something but wasn't sure.
